		Therapy dogs....

	Ryker, Malashel’s Commander Ryker UD, NA, TDI earned his CD at 3, his CDX at 7 and his UD at 8 years old. Last year, at 9, he earned his Novice Agility title (NA). He has been performing trick shows since he was 10 months old. He performed at a pre-school fair at Sussex Farm and Horse Show, at birthday party’s, nursing homes, to name a few. As a therapy dog, Ryker visits nursing homes once a month. This past fall, he spent five hours helping the children at the Pier 94 Daycare center after the September 11^th WTC tragedy. The children didn’t want to see him go. Ryker was not only there for those children and their families bringing a smile to their faces, but after working those five hours, and getting into the car Ryker was their for his owner, Sylvette wipe away her tears. Ryker is still actively competing in agility, and at almost 10 years old is getting ready to compete for his Open title. He is so smart and funny, giving his all in everything he does But more than anything else he is Sylvette’s best friend.

		“Cinder”

Karen Vogt’s Cinder earned her AKC CD at the K-9 OTC obedience trial in Verona, NJ on 1/12/03.

On 3/2/03, Cinder was honored with a Certificate of Merit from the NJ Veterinary Foundation's Animal Hall of Fame for her Therapy and Disaster Stress Relief work. She was featured in an article in the NJ Herald for receiving the award on 3/21/03.

Cinder earned her AKC AX (Agility Excellent) title on 3/22/03 at the Hudson Valley Golden Retriever Club Trial in Loch Sheldrake, NY taking first place.

"Ryker" (Sylvette Hartroth) and "Cinder", A practice their reading skills for local read to a dog program.
